For individuals who have not had work experience or have been out of work for a long period of time. Includes employability units as well as digital introductions and the Digital Ready course aimed at people who have little or no experience with computers.
Course 1A:
Employability skills & digital introduction
Topics include:
- Becoming an employee
- Building a digital and online profile
- Employability skills
- Job application preparation
- Job interview skills
- Job search techniques
- Connecting devices, submitting documents
- Using emails and the internet
- Mobile apps for communication devices
- Cyber security essentials
- Data analysis essentials
- Digital data essentials
- Digital literacy essentials
Good to know:
- Free.
- All topics are online.
- Student must have a computer with internet connection, and earbuds/earphones.
- Once enrolled, a weblink will be emailed to student. They can login to start training at their own pace.
- Each topic will take around 2 hours to complete -pending existing skill level.
Course 1B:
Digital Ready
Topics include:
- BSBTEC101 Operate digital devices
- BSBWRT311 Write simple documents
- BSBTEC203 Research using the internet
- BSBPEF101 Plan and prepare for work readiness
Good to know:
- Is free pending funding options for the individual.
- Nationally accredited training.
- A free refurbished laptop and 12 months internet will be gifted to individuals that complete the training.
